As a physical fitness company, Bournemouth Fitness Group Community Interest Company (BFGCIC) provide physical well-being assistance, advising on functional movement activities to individuals, groups, local businesses and the charitable sector that are faced with the most challenging of times and situations, which will have been caused by negative life events leading to depression, stress, anxiety and underlying health conditions.
Many of the life events immediately affect the lives and future of the community and cause emotional or financial hardship and is posing a threat to their mental or physical wellbeing and that of their immediate family and local community as a whole.
The challenges faced by our health and social care services are at breaking point. There is a growing gap and a disparity between the demand for services and the ability of the health and social care sector to meet it.
Our core purpose is to provide social prescribing of health and wellbeing group/individual learning and physical programmes with holistic positive social and economic impact to the community supporting resilience and recovery to those most affected by adverse life events, poor mental and a variety of underlining health conditions.
Group outdoor exercise sessions are provided at two locations:

“My aspiration is to join the British Army, but knowing they have a vigorous physical entry test, I knew getting into shape quickly had to be my top priority. David came to me via recommendation from my dad, because he had been training with David for some time and was confident he would help me reach my goal. Though I’ve only been training with him a few weeks, I can already feel myself getting much fitter and stronger. David has pushed with me beyond my own expectations, in such a manner that is encouraging, but yet demanding in n a fun kind of way. Normally going to the gym I would just go through the motions, with the belief that I’d done enough, but never really feel or saw any results. “These classes are so motivational. David has adapted his beach classes for zoom and offers a 1 to 1 personal training service. The zoom classes are fantastic!
His classes are always varied and cover all levels of fitness. He is able to adapt all exercises for each the individual within the group. The zoom classes are fun, friendly and just as fitness based as the beach classes! If you are thinking about getting fitter and meeting a new group of friends, make sure you contact him to give it a go. “I absolutely love David’s fitness group, it can be hard work but it’s also so much fun! David likes to ‘ literally’ keep us on our toes, constantly changing the routine so there’s never a dull moment and I can really feel the benefit! We have done obstacle courses, worked out with a large pack of playing cards as a prop, David has no end of ideas to vary the classes and keep us motivated!
